64547 - Simulation Analysis and Optimization of Lubricating Oil System
Lubrication system is widely used in automobile, aerospace and steam turbine. In this report, according to the relevant technical data of the components of the lubricating oil system, a one-dimensional simulation model of the lubricating oil system is established based on Flowmaster software.Based on the established pipeline network model, the steady operating conditions such as high flow operating condition, double pump overflow condition, single pump overflow condition and low flow operating condition are simulated respectively.
Through the analysis of the calculated results, the influence rule of the closing speed of the lubricating oil starting valve on the pressure fluctuation of the system is studied, and it is determined that the pressure fluctuation of the whole system is the smallest when the lubricating oil starting valve is closed within 0.5s. By analyzing the characteristics of the oil spill valve, the pressure regulating range of the valve is determined to be 0~ 0.38MPa. According to the simulation test, for the constant pressure accuracy, the average pressure change caused by flow rate change per 10m3/h is about 0.06MPa,under the flow mutation signal of about 60m3/h, the maximum pressure change does not exceed 0.1MPa. The results show that the system can effectively suppress the system pressure surge and meet the requirement of the whole system for the oil pressure fluctuation. At the same time, dynamic simulation was carried out for variable conditions and typical fault conditions, such as high flow condition to low flow condition, low flow condition to high flow condition, etc. By analyzing the influence of the opening speed of the lubricating oil starting valve on the pressure fluctuation, it is determined that the pressure fluctuation of the whole system is the least when the lubricating oil starting valve is closed within 0.2s. And through the study of the influence of the main lubricating oil pump shutdown rate, pump start rate and speed regulation rate on the system pressure fluctuation, it is found that the system pressure fluctuation is the smallest when the three actions are all completed within 0.2s, which meets the requirements of the lubricating system on the oil pressure fluctuation.
On the basis of determining the operation characteristics of relevant valves and pumps, the following research is mainly carried out in two parts: The thermal balance and flow characteristics of the lubricating oil system were simulated by coupling the lubricating oil system with the cooling syste. The completed research indicates that the self-stability regulation of the overall pipeline flow can be realized by adjusting the bypass flow. However, the bypass flow still needs the pressure head provided by the pump. The bypass flow under different working conditions is different, which means the pump will provide too much redundant power for the bypass flow while the amount of oil at the lubrication site do not increase significantly. Therefore, the second part of the research is to optimize the layout of bypass pipeline with the help of PID control method, so as to provide technical support for practical engineering application, which can greatly reduce unnecessary energy loss.
