131270 - Analysis of Communication Requirements for the "Intelligent Operation and Maintenance System" of Mobile Small Reactors
Abstract:
The small module reactor has the characteristics of high energy density and long-term stable operation. It can be used as an energy supply device to supply power for mines, islands, scientific research and national defense equipment located in remote/closed areas. The main deployment scenario of small module reactor is remote areas with weak infrastructure such as transportation, water source and power supply, which puts forward high requirements for the safety, reliability, flexibility, robustness, rapid deployment and "unattended" capability of reactor operation. Therefore, it is urgent to study the intelligent operation and maintenance system of small module reactor that can realize the ability of "unattended monitoring". And the communication is one of the parts.
Firstly, this article classifies typical application scenarios based on their characteristics and clarifies the requirements for targeted monitoring and communication methods. The characteristics of application scenarios mainly include: ① regional distribution characteristics of units; ② operational characteristics of units; ③ Sufficient on-site talent of the unit; ④ Infrastructure conditions. When designing remote communication solutions, it is necessary to consider compatibility with different communication methods such as fixed and mobile devices as much as possible, in order to provide a foundation for the subsequent product stack to achieve communication needs of "ultra remote multi unit" and "adaptability to multiple types of application scenarios". In addition, from existing public information, it can be seen that the monitoring and communication scheme for small reactors only has relevant functional descriptions, and there is no specific communication requirement for specific functions. Therefore, we plan to sort out the requirements from two perspectives: adjustable/monitoring accuracy of equipment and communication requirements for similar tasks in the aerospace field.
Subsequently, this article investigates the communication mode, communication QoS, reliability, and safety requirements of the mobile small reactor communication system, and analyzes possible requirements using existing or similar systems. At the same time, a comprehensive investigation was conducted on the possible use of ground wired and ground wireless communication systems, including methods, standards, maturity, and performance, to select more suitable communication methods for different small pile scenarios. We also conducted research on the mobility of communication system loading, layout and wiring, implementation plans for monitoring center network, as well as applications such as video monitoring and process data collection, to provide a foundation for analyzing industry technologies and selecting suitable technologies in the following text. Finally, this article conducts a preliminary analysis of the applicability and technical roadmap of the research content based on the characteristics of small piles.
